MICHAEL URTUZUASTEGUI MELCHER lives in New York, where he has labored at a few 80’s-type careers, including corporate law and management consulting. He served with the U.S. foreign service in Calcutta and Taipei.
Michael earned a JD/MBA from Stanford, but is remembered there chiefly for his dedication to the Law School Musical, a creative institution over which he lorded great control and through which he has been a great inspiration to others. During his stint in sunny Palo Alto, he also co-founded Stephanopouletter, a fanzine devoted to the personality cult of the former presidential advisor, Mr. George Stephanopoulos. In sixth grade, he was honored as paperboy of the year for the Scottsdale Daily Progress. Going to Harvard was a categorically wonderful experience for Michael, and he is pleased to give something back by writing "The Student Body."
